40th Steet is the high school aged student ministry at Galilee Church. Located at 40th Street in Virginia Beach, the church wanted an icon for the group that would both reflect the lifestyles of the young people involved and be an image that they would instantly gravitate toward. This one wasn't so much about what was said, as it was about who it was said to. In the end surfing was something everyone could agree on. The logo combines a laid back illustration with playful text to reflect those lazy summer days that make up such a big part of the collective experiences of Virginia Beach residents.
